My aim is to capture natural, unique and personal images that will highlight emotion, fun, tears and joy. All that matters is that you are having the best time of your life enjoying your wedding day and trusting me to tell the story of your wedding in documentary style.

When it comes to the couple portraits – I keep it short and relaxed so you don’t miss out on the party! 

In the end it’s all about giving you – images that will be cherished forever by generations.

I’m an experienced, creative Kent-based photographer I’ve been photographing people and portraits for over 20 years.

My approach is personal, informal and relaxed. Every client and their requirement are different, so no two shoots or sets of images are ever the same. 

I approach each and every project with the same passion, energy and enthusiasm that I did on my first shoot (a local wedding) when I was 17 years old!

In 2008 I moved from their studio in Canterbury, Kent to the America to manage their studio in Connecticut.  I had 6 amazing years in the US, working in New Jersey, Connecticut, Minneapolis and Orlando, both training photographers in the art of people and portrait photography, as well as photographing hundreds of shoots myself.

In 2014 I returned to the UK and turned my dream of owning my own studio into a reality, by opening my own photography business, Helen Rowe Studio, in Kings Hill, Kent.   Most of my work is for local and London based clients, but I travel all over the country and internationally when requested.

While my work has won awards and been exhibited around the world, nothing gives me more satisfaction that seeing my clients delight when they look at the final images from their shoot, whether personal or family portraits, corporate head shots or intimate personal pictures of a wedding, a christening or a special event.  This is why I love my work so much!

Whether you’re looking for wedding photography, studio or family photography or corporate headshots, your shoot should be an enjoyable and memorable experience.  If you are worried or nervous about being in front of a camera, don’t be!  Part of my expertise is being able to make you feel relaxed and at ease – as well as being able to get the best, spontaneous, natural shots, many of which you probably won’t even realise I have taken!

I’ll work closely with you on the planning of your shoot – what to wear, what props to bring, the backgrounds or locations to be used and the small personal touches and additions that help to reflect the individuality of you, your family or your special day.   

And my work continues after your shoot, personally editing and re-touching images as required, so that your final images are ll as perfect as you had wished for.

I’M THE KIND OF GIRL WHO LOOKS FORWARD TO PUDDING MORE THAN THE MAIN, AND PREFERS THE GIFT SHOP TO THE MUSEUM.

I live in Kent, with my two beautiful girls We laugh every day, dance in Disney soundtracks in the kitchen while I cook dinner.

My office bin is full of Amazon wrappers and Galaxy crumbs. I love good films, and trashy TV. I bump into things way more than any adult should. And I have an odd compulsion to buy two of everything.  

I’ve had a love of all things creative from an early age. But photography, and photographing people in particular, has always been my real passion.

I graduated with a first class BA Hons Degree in Photography and then joined international portrait photography business Venture working initially as a photographer and then as Style Director.
